Who is DPIC?
The Goal
Create new methods of interaction that bridge the existing learning barrier of complexity and allow people to become more knowledgeable and invested in death penalty issues.
The Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC) is a a non-profit organization looking to provide factual information and data about capital punishment in America. While DPIC does not take a moral stance, they are critical about the inequities of its application.
The Context
DPIC website contains a growing archive of information that has the potential to educate and move people towards change.
However, barriers such as understanding complex legal procedures, domain jargon, and identifying data trends prevent people from learning and engaging meaningfully.
